Sunday 7th - Club Run - Fathers Day Fun Run
There is a lot on in September, and Fathers Day is no exception.
However for those who would like a morning out by the sea and a short run, we will meet at the Club Rooms at 9.00 am for 9.30 start to travel to Wellington Point.
Bob and Jenny Slater are leading the trip and you can advise them on 3201-0252 if you would like to join us.
Bring your morning tea and coffee or purchase it from the kiosk – chairs too. There are public amenities there for your convenience and if you Fathers would like to throw in a line then bring your fishing gear as well (that’s not into the amenities but into the sea). Depending on the tide there may be an opportunity to walk over to King Island |

Sunday 21st - All Ford Day
Once again the All Ford Day will be held at the Kedron Sporting Fields in Sixth Avenue Kedron. The “Show and Shine” participation for Clubs is open for us again and numbers will need to be given to the organisers to allocate space per club. Therefore it is vital we have numbers of vehicles that want to participate so that this can be arranged. Car Entry and Driver is $5.00, with passengers in the car being an additional $2.00.
Gates are open at 6.00am for the set up of cars and swap meet. We need
to have the cars in place by 8.30am. It is suggested that we meet by
8.00am at the Mum’s Bakehouse 206 Gympie Road, Kedron and travel to the venue from there to set up by the time required. This is an EASY trip except for cleaning of the cars. Those who wish to participate on the day need to contact Greg Singleton telephone 33933510 or 0413208785 by 14th September |

Sunday 5th - Club Run – Ironbark Ridge
Camp oven Lunch/Roadvale
Meeting at Redbanks Plains Shopping Centre car park at 10.00am for a 10.15am start – Andrew and Cheryll will guide you all to Ironbark Ridge Winery for morning tea. Bring your own morning tea, there are toilets Enjoy a small sip or two before moving on to the Don & Sue’s farmlet at Roadvale for a camp oven lunch.
This will be an outside bushie cook up and subject to fire permits you will require your camp chairs and whatever you want to drink. The cook-up will cost $10 per head and bookings need to be made to work out catering requirements. Saturday 11th - Yatala Pie & Drive In – Club Run
You can meet us for a pie at Yatala for lunch at 1.00pm (40 Old Pacific Highway Yatala) or meet up with us later at the Drive-in (100 Jacobs Well Road, Yatala). We are going for a pie and a drink to start off with and then when the gates open at the Drive In at 2.00pm we are meandering in and setting up ready for the movies that night. You can listen to the rock & roll music, wander through the market stalls in front of the screen and then join us for BYO nibbles and drinks around 3.00pm. We are going to set up the chairs and tables (that is also BYO) near the screen for this in the first place, and then later we will move them back to the cars to set up for the movies. There is a kiosk that opens at 4.00pm. BYO tea or buy it and settle back and watch the movies.
